MEMBER FOR LEPPINGTON NATHAN HAGARTY NAMED GOVERNMENT WHIP

Member for Leppington, Nathan Hagarty, has been appointed as the new Government Whip for the NSW Labor Government.

The announcement follows the appointment of former Whip Steve Whan MP to Minister for TAFE, Skills and Training.

Mr Hagarty said he is humbled by the appointment and understands the great responsibility the position holds.

The appointment became effective Tuesday 19 October.

Member for Leppington, Nathan Hagarty said:

“I am incredibly humbled to have been appointed Government Whip.”

“I want to thank all my colleagues for their support and to the outgoing Whip and new Minister for TAFE, Skills and Training Steve Whan MP for his service.”

“Being chosen as the Government Whip is a tremendous honour and an incredible privilege. I am ready to embrace this responsibility with dedication and enthusiasm.”
