The Great Registration Race for DonateLife Week

There are currently 1,750 Australians on the organ transplant waitlist hoping for a
potentially life saving operation. However, there are not enough organ and tissue
donors to ensure they get the operation they need.
The new DonateLife data shows that there are 13 million Australians eligible who
have not yet registered as donors despite the fact that 4 in 5 Australians support
donation.
The Great Registration Race for DonateLife Week is on now to encourage 100,000
more Australians to sign up.
“I am encouraging all eligible residents of Werriwa to register as an organ and tissue
donor. One donor can save up to 7 lives and help even more” said Ms Anne Stanley.
“I have been a donor for many years, and our family knows just how precious the gift
of donation is; remember to let your loved ones know your decision after you
register.”
