Kogarah student, Charlene Garcia hopes other young Australians will join the sail across the sea for an experience to remember.
The Young Endeavour youth scheme is a non-profit organisation that gives 24 young Australians between the ages of 16-23 a challenging and inspirational experience at sea aboard Australia’s national sail training ship.
The voyages develop confidence, self-awareness, teamwork and leadership skills.
Young Endeavour was gifted by the United Kingdom to the people of Australia for our Bicentenary in 1988.
Since then more than 13,100 young Australians have undertaken the youth development voyage.
Young Endeavour is sailing from Hobart to Melbourne (March 9-19) and then from Melbourne to Eden (March 22-April 1).
There are vacant spots to fill.
