NSW:

NSW COVID-19 update – Sunday 31 October 2021

In the 24-hour reporting period to 8pm last night:

– 93.5% of people aged 16+ have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine

– 87.5% of people aged 16+ have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine

– 75,378 tests

– 177 new locally acquired cases

– 1 new overseas acquired cases

– 178 total new cases

– 340 people in hospital

– 78 people in ICU

– 1 death

Victoria:

Victoria has recorded 1,036 new COVID-19 infections and the deaths of 12 people with COVID-19.

The deaths take the toll from the current outbreak to 305.

There are 702 people in hospital with COVID-19, including 80 on a ventilator.

The new cases were found from 56,768 test results processed on Saturday and brings the number of active infections in the state to 22,013.

The state has now officially passed a milestone of having 80 per cent of the population aged 16 and above having received both doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.
