As a member of the House Standing Committee on Health Aged Care & Sport, I am
pleased that the final report “Sick and Tired: Casting a long shadow”, was released on
Monday 24th April.
I also note the Albanese Government’s commitment to further fund $50 million from the
Medical Research Future Fund for research.
I would like to thank everyone who took the time to contribute to the report in person, in
writing or via zoom. It is your contribution that has informed our recommendations.
The Government is committed to supporting a strong health care system that will deliver
effective patient-centred care for people diagnosed with Long COVID, and the best possible
health and wellbeing outcomes for patients
