More than 200 individuals attended a Mental Health Awareness seminar on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at the Greenacre Citizen Centre, hosted by Joumana Menzalji, the Director of Sydney Community Connects.
The event aimed to shine a spotlight on important mental health issues and offer valuable insights into fostering a supportive community. It covered topics such as drugs, alcohol, gambling, and substance abuse. The session featured a diverse team of professionals, including doctors, police representatives, lawyers, counselors, and former inmates who shared their experiences.
In attendance were representatives from the media, local schools, liaison offices, community leaders, members, families, newcomers, and refugees.
