On Tuesday, 22 October 2024, the Fairfield Emerging Communities Action Partnership (FECAP) held an important forum at the Fairfield Connect Study Hub, Western Sydney University. The event gathered key members of FECAP along with community leaders, including representatives from the Australian Syrian League, to discuss the needs and priorities of emerging communities in the region.
During the forum, valuable information was shared by both FECAP members and guest speakers, highlighting the challenges and opportunities faced by various emerging communities in Fairfield. The community leaders actively presented the pressing needs of their respective groups, focusing on areas such as settlement support, education, employment, and social integration.
The event also featured group discussions, where participants exchanged ideas and reviewed strategies to better support the region’s diverse communities. The forum was a meaningful step toward fostering stronger community ties and addressing the key issues facing Fairfield’s emerging communities.
