Education Minister Jason Clare Hosts Appreciation BBQ for Labor Members

On Saturday, 15 June 2025, Federal Education Minister Jason Clare, alongside Auburn MP Lynda Voltz, hosted a special dinner at Campbell Hill Reserve to thank Labor Party members and volunteers from across their electorate for their dedication and support during the recent federal election campaign.

The gathering brought together a number of prominent local figures, including Anthony D’Adam MLC, Cumberland Mayor Ola Hamed, Canterbury Bankstown Councillor Rachelle Harika, Clr Enver Yasar, Clr Glenn Elmore , Clr Diane Colman and Mamdouh Sukkarieh, Editor-in-Chief of The Observer, Mr Akram Elmougawish and Ziad Eldaoud among other community leaders and supporters.

In her opening remarks, Lynda Voltz MP warmly welcomed the attendees and expressed deep gratitude to all who supported Jason Clare and fellow MPs on election day, acknowledging their efforts as instrumental in securing a successful outcome for the Labor Party. She underscored the importance of teamwork and the collective drive to deliver positive change through strong leadership and community-focused governance.

Minister Clare also addressed the guests, highlighting the Labor government’s significant achievements and future plans. He emphasized key policy commitments, including the 20% reduction in student debt, expanded access to health and Medicare services, and continued investment in education. He personally thanked the attendees, saying:

“Thank you so much for all your help throughout the election campaign. I truly appreciate your hard work and unwavering support over the past seven months.”

The BBQ provided a valuable platform for local Labor members to share ideas, reflect on recent successes, and strategize for future initiatives aimed at improving the lives of their constituents.
