Canterbury-Bankstown Mayor Bilal El-Hayek’s 24-Hour Challenge for Mental Health starts this Thursday 16 April, 8:30am at The Crest Athletics Track, Bass Hill
The Mayor’s Challenge will unite people locally and from around the world in a round-the-clock run or walk to raise funds and awareness to support those dealing with this growing issue.
This special event honours the legacy of Charlotte O’Brien, who died by suicide at the age of 12 after experiencing bullying in school and online.
All funds raised will go towards Charlotte’s Wish Scholarships to support the mental health of young people in the Canterbury-Bankstown area.

Thursday 16 April, 8:30am for Opening Ceremony
9am – Walk begins with the Mayor and special guests
12pm – ‘Forever 12’ virtual hour in Charlotte’s memory
12-2pm – Bulldogs Holiday Clinic
3-5pm – GWS Giants Holiday Clinic
6-7pm – A special night-time “light up the night” session honouring all children lost to mental ill-health
10:30pm-9am – Challenge continues through the night and into the morning
