Australia’s future, as voters across the nation head to the polls for the Federal Election on 3 May 2025. With early voting already underway, Australians are making their voices heard.

As the election approaches, she has reaffirmed Labor’s commitment to delivering practical support for families and investing in the essential services that Australians rely on every day.

Sitou emphasised Labor’s focus on providing real cost-of-living relief through initiatives that ease pressure on working families, including:
• Energy bill rebates
• Cheaper medicines
• More bulk-billed GP visits
• Child care savings to help families return to work, study, or find better balance while ensuring their children receive quality early education
Sitou proudly highlighted Labor’s recent landmark achievement: the largest boost to Medicare in over 40 years, including:
• 9 in 10 GP visits now bulk-billed
• 4,800 fully bulk-billing clinics — three times the previous number
• 18 million additional bulk-billed visits every year
• $8.5 billion invested to strengthen Medicare
“Labor built Medicare,” she said. “And only Labor will keep it strong — because seeing a doctor should only require one thing: your Medicare card.”
As the people of Reid prepare to vote, Sitou’s message is clear: “I want to continue being your voice in Canberra and keep delivering for this incredible community. Let’s do this together.”
