125 years of
Districts Exhibits This year, the Show is celebrating 125 years of Districts Exhibits! Four distinct districts across NSW will again come together, gathering over 50,000 pieces of the very best produce from their regions to display in their own unique, creative, and elaborate design. Taking home ultimate bragging rights, the winners for the Perpetual Trophy (best produce), best display and people’s choice will be awarded 12 April at 10AM. Produce is judged in the six days leading up to, and on Day 1 of Show.
Jamison Station Get ready for a completely reimagined agricultural experience! This new ‘working farm’ precinct will host hands-on animal experiences with goats, ponies, piggies, sheep, donkeys and more, as well as live milking and blacksmithing demonstrations. Daily

NSW Mounted
Police The NSW Mounted Police, the oldest of its kind in the world, will be celebrating their bicentenary at the 2025 Show! The highlight will be a thrilling Police Extravaganza in the Main Arena, featuring Mounted Police, Police Motorcycles, the Police Band, Pipes and Drums, a special appearance from the Dog Unit, and more. Honky Tonk Get the full country and western experience at the 2025 Show, and explore the new Nashville inspired, Honky Tonk precinct! Battle in the
Saddle 2.0 The Battle is back, bigger and better than ever before! Battle lines will be drawn as an Aussie Stockman and American Cowboy face off in a thrilling display of skill. From wrangling a record-breaking 35 bison (75% ) and 8 (60% ) long-horn steers to guiding the formidable bison Rawhide as he climbs atop a truck, the Aussie Stockman’s Horse, Vegemite, making his way into the arena in his own convertible car, and more. dive experience For all the daredevils out there, come on down and catch the Show first, Flying Fools High Dive Show! Hailing from Canada, these world-class divers will be performing stunts from up to 25 meters (the width of an Olympic sized swimming pool), that will have you on the edge of your

Log on! Get ready for an action-packed experience with the Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show! Watch as these Canadian lumberjacks showcase their talents with axe throwing, log rolling, log running, chainsaw carving, and epic chopping battles! Hip Hip, Valais! Hailing all the way from the Valais region of Switzerland, for the very first time, Valais Blacknose sheep are making their debut at the 2025 Show with their very first-class competition! Having arrived in Australia online in late 2021, they’re widely known as the world’s cutest sheep breed, but do they have what it takes to be Best in Show? 16-18 April

This year, we’re bringing back all the classics and family favourites, plus five exciting new rides including: · XXL Sky Flyer – Feel the thrill as you soar 60m above the Showground, twisting and turning in a ride that will leave your heart racing! edition This year, alongside the prestigious ADVANCETM Sydney Royal Dog Show, a brand-new dog competition, the Sydney FCI International, is being welcomed to Show! This event offers exhibitors the opportunity to Show their dog twice in the same day and compete under a global judging system with the chance to win international recognition for their dog. To win Best in Show at both events would be the ultimate achievement. for More dogs, more excitement, and double the glory! From 1PM, 12–20 April
Bacon me crazy! In a Sydney Royal first, Bacon and Ham Judging will happen live on the first day of Show! Watch as expert judges evaluate the finest cuts and taste-test the best bacon and ham from across NSW. Run as part of the District Exhibit Produce Show, each District Court must submit four exhibits, which are judged on flavour, colour, proportion of fat, texture, conformation, and finish. 11 April, 9.30-11AM
No drama, kiss a llama! Pucker up and get ready for the cutest photo op at the new Llama Kissing Booth! These lovely little llamas are ready to smooch, snuggle, and strike a pose – perfect for an unforgettable snap. 18-22 April
Dino Adventures Experience a bite-sized version of the popular Dinos Alive show at the Fever Pavilion in 2025! Step back millions of years and come face-to-face with moving animatronic dinosaurs like the T-Rex and Velociraptors, set in their natural Jurassic habitat. Competition Auctions and agriculture have gone together in Australia since the days of early settlement. Watch on as the Australian Livestock & Property Agents (ALPA) Association presents the Young Auctioneers Competition. Finalists auction off prize-winning Sydney Royal purebred steers with the State and then National Finals taking place in front of a packed Amphitheatre audience! 11 April, 1-5PM
Hat’s Off Sydney Get ready for Hats Off at the Royal 2025, the premier networking event hosted by the RAS Youth Group! This year, we’re bigger and better than ever, featuring an exclusive fireside chat with ex MLA boss Jason Strong and Jack Lorie, founder of Breeder Genetics. Enjoy live music, delicious Sydney Royal award-winning food and beverages, and a class country raffle. presentation Catch a glimpse of the future of Australian agriculture as the annual Rural Achievers speaking showcase again gives a platform to some of the best and brightest minds of the next generation. These prestigious competitions will culminate on 13 April with the sashing of 2025’s The Sydney Royal AgShows NSW Young Woman and RAS Rural Achiever Award speaking showcase. Happening 13 April, 2-4PM, with 2025 RAS Rural Achievers to be announced on 15 April from 6PM.
City vs Country
polo showdown Get ready for an epic polo showdown! Watch on as City takes on the Country in a fast-paced 3-a-side game in the Main Arena. Whether you’re a seasoned polo fan or a first timer, this showdown will have you on the edge of your seat. 18 April
The mane events Kids under 15 will again have the chance to showcase their creativity in two exciting Fancy Dress competitions: Horse and Calf! Watch as young competitors and their prized animals dress to the nines, vying for Show’s best fancy dress! 18 April

Live Wool
Auction In 2024, the Wool Auction turned over $17 million in the two days it was held on site in the Sheep Pavilion auction room. Find out where Australian wool ends up and watch and learn about the auction process! 15-16 April, 10AM-3.30PM
Pigs and pinot! Oink oink! Following last year’s success, the Sydney Royal Stud Pig Auction is returning to the Show in 2025. The auction gives pig breeders the chance to bid for some of Australia’s best pig genetics, with an
impressive $20,550 being spent in 2024. Come along on April 14 to find out what it takes to be a top pig!
Thank A Farmer
Day
Show thanks to the farmers who provide our vital food and fibre and head along to the Show on 14 April for ‘Thank A Farmer’ day. This day is the perfect chance to strike up a conversation with one of the many farmers attending the Show, learn more about where your food comes from and how their industry continues to grow and innovate, and treat yourself to a Big Bush BBQ snag where all proceeds go back to regional Show Societies.
Kids Day
The Show is the perfect place for kids to have a fun day out learning about agriculture, so bring all the kids along to the last day of Show on 22 April to enjoy hours of fun and entertainment and almost half price kids’ tickets! Don’t forget kids under three get in free.
Show Legend
Presentation The Show is full of dedicated and hard-working exhibitors, but one will stand above the rest this year as they are awarded the title of Show Legend! Presented annually to recognise outstanding service and commitment to the Show, the Legend will be announced on 14 April at 1PM.

Trophies The prestigious Urquhart and Hordern Trophies for cattle are the ultimate accolade in the beef cattle industry. Catch the excitement and chat with this year’s winners on 14 April, 1.15-2.15PM and 2.15-3PM respectively.
Young Farmer
Challenge takes
centre stage! Taking centre stage in the Main Arena in 2025, these young farmers will compete in a series of on-farm challenges that could be anything from animal handling to firefighting and even first aid. Watch as teams make their way through the ultimate farmer course! Finals will take place on 14 April at 5.30-5.45PM.

Champions The ultimate award in agricultural excellence, the President’s Medal is not only awarded on taste but recognises a producers overall financial, social, and environmental integrity through the entire production cycle from gate to plate. The 18th Annual President’s Medal will be Awarded 16 April.

edition Aquaculture is the only Sydney Royal Fine Food competition where the public can watch oyster judging live! This must-see judging event on 16 April in The Woolworths Fresh Food Dome, will give all fine foodies a chance to watch on as judges assess the uniformity of shape, presentation, texture, colour, freshness, and the all-important taste.

Rodeo Challenge Back and ready to buck it out! For six nights only, watch as Aussie riders take on bull riding, bareback, saddle bronc, and female breakaway roping (a Show first) at the 2025 Federation Challenge in the Main Arena! Known for its speed, breakaway roping sees competitors getting the job done in as little as 3 seconds. Fast-growing, female breakaway roping was formally recognised as a professional event for women by organisations like the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA) in the 1990s! 17-22 April

the streets! Get ready to groove with the 2025 Disco Fever Street Parade! With 110 performers, world-class circus acts, dazzling costumes, and electrifying dance moves, this parade has it all! Competitions The many competitions at the Show highlight agricultural and rural excellence. Below are just a few examples: · Domestic Animals: Crowd favourites such as the Sydney Royal Dog and Cat Shows, rats and mice, reptiles and cavies are back for more furry and scaly fun. The Best in Show Dog (21 April); Grand Champion Rat (11 April); Best in Show Cavy (16 April). · Canine Hero Award: This competition celebrated extraordinary dogs who perform remarkable feats from bravery to life-changing acts, announced 21 April at 1.30PM. · Poultry: Established in 1858, the Sydney Royal Poultry & Pigeon Show offer over 1250 classes, highlighting the best birds and their exceptional breeding. Bird of Show (11 April) · Woodchop: Get ready for an action-packed 2025 program! Back for the second year, two women’s world championship woodchopping sawing (14 April) and underhand (15 April) events will take centre stage. Plus, the iconic Triathlon of Chop where you can watch as competitors push themselves to the limit across three intense disciplines: the 375mm single hand saw, 300mm underhand chop, and the 300mm standing block chop (21 April).
· Honey: Since 1888, the prestigious Sydney Royal National Honey Show awards medals honey, beeswax, mead, and more. Best Exhibit in Show (7 April) · Livestock: Australian agriculture is something to be proud of and this year, we’re showing off exhibits of beef and dairy cattle, sheep and wool, chicks, goats, alpacas and many more! · The SEMEX Dairy Youth Challenge: Returning in 2025, to again put young dairy enthusiasts’ skills and teamwork to the test, clipping, parading and judging across this three-day challenge to find the 2025 winners of the Bruce Moxey Perpetual Trophy. 20 April, 1-4PM
Breeds on show Get ready to meet some of the finest feature breeds that are set to steal the spotlight at the 2025 Show, including: · Beef cattle: Santa Gertrudis – the first American-bred beef cattle breed, they are widely raised in northern Australia and are known for their top-quality beef! · Dairy cattle: Guernsey – this friendly breed produce rich, golden milk – perfect for creating quality butter and cheese! · Meat & Dual Purpose (Sheep): White Suffolk – one of the more popular breeds for lamb production in Australia, they thrive in varied environments. · Pig: Wessex Saddleback – these adaptable, low maintenance piggies, are a hardy breed that thrives in the Aussie climate. · Bird: African Lovebird – these popular pets are known to be playful in nature, have vibrant colour, and form strong bonds. · Poultry: Geese! –these often-quirky farm guards, are natural guardians and help maintain pasture health and control pests!
