SUPPORTING THE SERBIAN COMMUNITY IN WERRIWA

For the last 38 years over three days in September, the Serbian Cultural
Club has celebrated the Serbian Folkloric Festival at the Bonnyrigg Sports
Club.
Labor Member for Werriwa, Anne Stanley MP, today announced that a reelected Albanese Labor Government will provide $30,000 in support for
the organisers to deliver the festival this year.
The festival is a highlight on the community’s calendar, showcasing
Serbian culture, including food, films and folkloric dancing.
Sponsored by community members, the festival attracts participants from
the local community and across Australia with regular visitors from
overseas also attending.
This $30,000 election commitment will support hardworking volunteers to
ensure another successful Festival in 2025.
Consistent with past practice, election commitments will be delivered in
line with Commonwealth Grants Rules and Principles.
