A man has returned from shopping in Sydney’s south west to find a bizarre intruder in his car — a swarm of bees that had swiftly taken over.
Rizwan Khan was picking up groceries at Haldon Street in Lakemba, and when he returned 10 . minutes later he was surprised to see people crowding around his Jeep, holding their phones and taking videos of the inside.
When he got closer he saw the incredible sight that had captured their attention.
“Maybe they liked my Jeep, you know?” Mr Khan said.
“I returned to the car and I had people around the car with their cameras on and bees inside the car.”
The swarm had settled itself on the doorframe immediately beside the driver’s side seat, rendering it almost impossible to get in and drive away.
In a stroke of luck, a local beekeeper stumbled across the swarm and its spectators.
