LIVERPOOL LABOR ANNOUNCE 2021 COUNCIL TEAM

The Labor Party have announced their list of candidates for the upcoming Liverpool City Council local government elections on September 4.

Following his recent announcement as the Labor Mayoral Candidate, Councillor Nathan Hagarty, will head up the ticket in North Ward. Among those joining him is fellow Councillor and three-time Deputy Mayor, Ali Karnib.

“I’m immensely proud to lead this great team of candidates. This is a diverse group of passionate locals that have spent decades working hard for our community. Should they be elected, they’ll make great representatives for the people of Liverpool,” Councillor Hagarty said.

Leading the South Ward ticket is current Councillor and former State candidate for Holsworthy, Councillor Charishma Kaliyanda. Joining her is an experienced team of community service and health advocates, including WSU Community Champion Award winner and Chair of Bonnie Support Services, Betty Green.

“The Liverpool Labor team reflects the rich experience and many talents of our broader community. We know that residents want people who care about and are connected to our community to represent them – which is exactly what we have in this team,” Councillor Kaliyanda said.
